On long-term rentals the bank likes to see signed leases which clearly you can't have with STR. 

If not, I'm guessing it would be treated as a traditional rental loan, either conventional or DSCR, using market rents rather than the rent in the lease agreement.

You'll likely pull a few hundred extra dollars and will will get shorter leases that could work better for your traveling.

Then you can take them off-site yourself so you have time until the next changeover or create another option for the cleaners that they go back and finish the sheets and store them so their changeovers will be easier as well.

I started my first year with a 3 day minimum because I couldn't find a cleaner who could do Saturdays, they were all booked up. 

There are plenty of entry roles from cold calling, scrubbing data and find deals for investors, leasing assistant, work on construction sites, office admin, project coordinator, Title assistant, RE photographer, transaction coordinator.. on and on. 

I use Buildium for tracking rent, fees, leases, and collecting online payments, but I don't use their reports for much, as I end up copying my online banking each year into spreadsheets.I've been using Rental Hero for the last hour and already impressed with it.

Make cosmetic updates if needed, offer free months rent on a longer lease, make sure your units have qualities like laundry and AC. 

A furnished mid-term rental or month to month lease can be well worth the small incremental monthly cost for this flexibility if you are serious about finding a great live in flip candidate on your timeline, not that of your employer's. 

Easy to screen, setup leases (I do my own), and collect rent for very cheap fees.
