Most of the people that hire a good PM find they make more money paying their fee than not, tenants know there is no emotion, and tenants are more apt to pay. 

I have been through some bad tenants but nothing so extreme and the experience taught me to keep out my emotions.

Mislabel one of the other parties emotions or desires “so it seems that you are really eager to leave your job” when you know they want to stay-this forces them to listen and tell you that’s not it, but this is.

In my mind, I figured it would weed out people who had too much emotional investment in their property.

investors I can see this.. they are more numbers driven and a house is a house if it fits the area they want to buy in.. and are not emotional about the purchase at least most..  

Duplexes are sold on emotion, not cash flow.

Compassion and emotions related to dealing with tenants is only a path to failure.
