The con would be hail damage to roofs, high property taxes, and foundation issues (the cost of repair is much lower than CA). yup I got a first hand look at those danger points in Texas had to replace roofs had to jack up houses and fell out of my chair when we got the tax bill.

The dangers were really overblown in the 80’s and there was a lot of pushback. 

I work in a sometimes dangerous service job and I do my best to be careful and stay safe, however I would never sign away my workers comp and disability rights just in case something ever did happen, I guess I look at this the same way

I hate to force them out, but don't want anyone's lives to be in danger. 

But my question is, is it possible to get a list from the electric company or elsewhere that lists the people who are past due on their electric bills and in danger of getting their electric shut off?

Most have moved out because they cannot afford the cost of living here.So keep in mind that the danger of NOT investing here is to be priced out, probably within 10 years.You can read many of my previous posts.

I was just informed that shingle siding is made with asbestos and is really dangerous.
