I have been studying, reading, scanning and contemplating this path for the past several years, and always said, I should try and turn several houses for a profit and see if we can make a go at this... 

Ok, the numbers don't really work, but the dad wants to see you out of debt quick and really the only forclosed and bankrupt properties are from debt...hmmm, maybe a wise point to contemplate.

This would require me to sell my own property as well, which I have been contemplating for the last month or so.

@Mark Whittlesey I can understand that not everyone will like the same cup of tea.But for someone who is starting to contemplate the RE world as a means to live, as a young person, it felt good to read of his success.

Moreover, I thought I was being pretty darn generous by offering to pay for a delay that wasn't contemplated by the lender's contract and that I didn't cause.
