I think you were going for things tenants see: If kitchen/batch need a facelift, I remove and install durablefinishes: ceramic tile, backsplash, etc.

Now if I was to start a company, it would be in basic home repair to consist of painting, drywall, ceramic tile (wall and floor tiling) floor sanding, counter-top replacement and carpet installation. 

I had a half glass fixed shower door fabricated and installed, then had the entire bathroom primed, coated and painted with a high end specialized latex paint for ceramic tile.It only takes a few hours to apply and 24 hours to cure and completely changed the look of the bathroom for a fraction of the cost, with extremely fast turnaround time.

I pick up that 20x20 ceramic for $1/ft but it costs me $2/ft to install.... so a 700 sf apartment is costing me $2100 to tile throughout....

Go with either an Aluminum Oxide or Ceramic Bead finish, 2 coats if you can find it.

For 3 months holding cost you could have gone to Homegoods and gotten two matching ceramic planters and put either flowering plants or fake red blooming azalea bushes from hobby lobby

Has anyone tryed painting ceramic tile with products like Rustoleum floor coating?

I could try out a remote controlled kit with ceramic logs.

If you plan to hold the property long term, you should only consider a complete tub and surround replacement with a quality tub and ceramic tile properly installed.
