@Troy Ronald regardless of where you decide to invest, you'll see little results unless you have a resourceful team assembled (real estate agent, lender, contractor, property management, etc.)

Generally the sales tax exemption is for if you are assembling widgets and then selling the main widget on the end and charging sales tax on the end widget.Real estate does not have a sales tax on the end sale, so for this reason, the components you buy for the property are not exempt from the sales tax.

Hey George it depends on what kind of LO (loan officer) , in a retail big bank like Chase, in a refi assembly line plant like Loan Depot/Cash Call/Amerisave, a LO with a indepdent mortgage broker, a mortgage broker one man shop, or a LO with a mortgage company.It can vary from flat rate of $500 per loan up to 2.75% of the loan amount and everything in between.
