Lawyers, just paper pushers?

I feel like I can write a book about it, but will try to keep it as simple as possible.Little Intro of myself: Late 30’s, Full time W2 Lawyer in NYC.

The co-investment structure was not well explained to LPs, significant delays receiving investor reports / tax docs if you're not directly invested in the deal with the operator, when the deal fails co-sponsors that you are not invested with refuse to help citing advance from lawyers. 

Are there any friendly strategies you would try first to ask them to leave before getting the lawyer involved?

Would a lawyer be helpful to get some results from the city?

No clue, my guess would be no since they have accepted the return of the deposit, but check with a real estate lawyer in your state because I'm just guessing here.

I have no time for this, but if not removed my lawyer will send you a letter with every law you broke.

Most of the 'experts' (Lawyers and CPAs) do not own investment properties anyway, just ask them.

Your best best is to find a local real estate lawyer to handle the legal transfer of the wooded land that your mother wants to give you.
