Here's the back story...I have an "accepted" offer from someone who I thought had power of attorney to sell a single family house that was put into a trust.

This story is an excellent reason to consider checkbook control for your self directed investing.

Just because during off hours I can go from my office on Mill Plain to my house in SE Portland in only 20min, the majority of the time, the traffic is really bad and I have heard horror stories of it taking 3 hours to go 15 miles....

Hello Fellow BPer's,Long story short I found what could be a fantastic investment, a 32 unit multi-family apartment complex.

It's actually not the mom I'd worry about, but her kids....I've heard some pretty bad stories from my friends growing up.  

I've been browsing for an investor deal for the past few days having read several success stories here on BP.  

Success stories like yours are what keep newbies like myself grinding!

I plan on renting them out but I am not sure what really to expect (other than most of the horror stories I have heard regarding renting) I would like to continue purchasing more houses and flip some as well.

Love hearing success stories local, here in the Great Lakes state.

It sounds like a horror story but I learned a lot on invaluable lessons and didn't lose my shirt on the deal.
