With governments making it illegal to evict for non-payment of rent, but banks not providing mortgage relief, landlords will be left subsidizing housing for their tenants. 

My feeling is that Utah will do better than most states, because it tends to be obedient to things like CDC recommendations and government orders. 

Not doing so will bite you in the ***.Do as landlords always do when the government continues to tilt the scale in the direction of the tenant.

Most of my low income tenants are hard workers that don't want a handout -- many are proud of the fact that they can and are making it in market rate housing without government assistance! 

This recession is different than 08, it was caused by a real estate bubble, people have way more equity in there houses now and the government is offering a moratorium on foreclosures for 60 days which helps. 4.

My question is do you think the government/states will intervene and pay 1-2 months of past due rent to prevent evictions? 

or would I simply owe taxes to the federal government?
