THEN buy a house.I would consider early on trying to house hack, buy a property and rent to friends. 

I also have a handful of great friends in Milwaukee with full time real estate success under their belts that I could hook up with locally as well.Cheers to your future!!

I have heard terrible, terrible things about them from friends who went to school there. 

Still, I joked with my friend who is a CPA about when an accountant needs an accountant.   

How would we handle this objection when talking with friends and family about investing with us?

Hes just more afraid of things like how long till he could start making money, what if something goes wrong and looses everything etc...We have friends and i know people who can get me in touch with investors and people who know all about this, i just havent made that connection yet and reached cause i dont want to waste peoples time till i know hes serious about this since as of now hes on the fence Would it be possible for people on here to answer questions such as how much it would cost to build a building with 50-100 units?

I have a friend looking for an attorney to help with the legal aspects of raising investment funds for the acquisition of a building for a gym in the DFW area.
