The reason for me taking so long with finding a broker is primarily because I got really busy with my regular job...and I wasn't sure I wanted to take on the additional expense of holding a license....I would love to transition to full-time :-)

Bill Gulley Regarding "I've never heard of it costing more per person" in NC that is true with the legal complaint filing at small claims via the clerk of court, but the sheriff service cost is $30 per person in Wake county.

The key is this, in most areas this is the big stickler that most people are claiming is law, however, there are a few areas that do have some more obstacles that you may need to overcome such as the state of Maryland have a few laws on "Title Jumping"".

I am going to kind of disagree with what is being said hereIf I were you I wouldn't even consider getting a real estate license because having a real estate license doesn't make getting real estate deal any easier, it will cost you money and your liability goes way up compared to being a regular investor.You don't need to learn anything more!

But most importantly, they limit their liability to a maximum of 12 months worth of fees (if you have actually paid for the 12 months prior to needing to claim - if your claim comes to light years after using the service, their liability to you is $0!!).

My wife & I attended a 3 day Rich Dad Education workshop and it clicked for her and now I rely on her "intuition" regularly [of course it took me 15 years to realize this].I always recommend reading and/or listening to as much as you can.If you haven’t already, please read/listen to these books ASAP!

I can read the title examination and abstract and assess the risk on a quick holding period, I can also go to court and defend myself in any title claim, if need be, I can pay for expert defenses, and fight claims.

You can have the insurance cost approach appraisal easily added on to your regular market appraisal while buying a new property and it would probably save you some money.
