@Brittany Rogerson these are great questions, my wife and I did this a couple years ago so here are some thoughts, questions or considerations which we learned through the process.- Are you planning on continuing to buyer more rental properties, and will your single income, plus rental income, etc. support you 5 year goals? 

We were approached with this and I initially thought it would be a great fit, but went home and got chewed out about the toxic chemicals and liability. 

I've always thought that so long as the intent is there, the details can be corrected after-the-fact in a lot of cases (not all).

I want to share my story and make it aware to others but also looking for opinions and thoughts. i purchased two properties in broward county florida from the foreclosure website auction.

Any thoughts on how to handle this?

I am sure this will ultimately be "ask your local appraiser" but I wanted to get thoughts here if you think this would count as a 1 bedroom.

I've always thought investing via HELOCs were risky, and now only more so as the rates are typically adjustable and would not be very high.
