But that's the exception, not the rule, and there are always ways to make deals sound sweeter than they actually are when you tell your money stories to listeners with stars in their eyes and money in their fists.So yeah, on any given day of the week I would certainly take $60K to the corner convenience store and buy the big scratch-off lottery tickets, rather than bring that money to REI and with a clear head try to go after anything that I would call a sane way to triple it within a year.And I will speak out against a corrosive, debilitating get-rich-quick mindset in real estate investing where I see it being promoted, a mindset that breaks so many people who could other be put on any number of quite reasonable long-term paths to amassing real and lasting wealth.

I’ve heard this for years myself, but if this thread takes off it will be with some sort of credit card stacking scheme:(One guy I meet was pitching a sales pitch at a RE meetup and was promoting something more than credit card schemes, but he wanted 25k plus to help get you started.Hopefully someone will come on your thread offering more than credit cards with intro teaser rates.
