Hey Shane,You could also find local meetup groups focused on real estate investing as well as some of the REI clubs around town. 

Find a neighborhood you like and focus there.

I don't want to waste it when I don't have anything concrete to focus on.Now, I am in favor of doing these things to learn when it's necessary.

My biggest piece of advice is to focus on properties that sleep a max of 3 people. 

What I would need to do is go down to UDC, and pay 8k a year at night and just focus on passing. $24k will quickly get paid back just in title fees in year one.

I'll run my numbers and focus on listening to what they are looking for first.
