High limits on my insurance and an umbrella policy. 

Is Landlord Insurance the same as these umbrella insurance policies I keep hearing about?

You have insurance but you can add an umbrella insurance policy if you are worried.Make sure you have the correct STR insurance which is not an owner or landlord policy.The house is paid for - yes put it in an LLC.

I enjoyed the book and it was very insightful, but because it fell under the BP umbrella I ended up coming across another book- The book on Rental Property investing by @Brandon Turner.

How about buy the property in your name and get an umbrella liability policy that covers rental properties. 

If your looking for more protection then just get an umbrella insurance policy, this will add even more coverage for your protection which is what people are thinking when going the LLC route.  

I may chose to have the LLC taxed as a S-Corp and then created an umbrella company as well.- Personal and company asset protection. 

I do think you would be okay with not getting an LLC and just getting a solid umbrella insurance policy, but I'd definitely consult with an attorney

I want to have the property held under the LLC for liability protection but I may have to go with an umbrella insurance policy instead.
