Personally, I love the Chicago market and still believe that there are deals here...I think an important I figured out is determining EXACTLY WHAT A DEAL LOOKED LIKE for me...then getting hyper focused on the area and writing a bunch of offers at a purchase price that WORKED FOR ME!

Ended in 1 year without payment, eviction, property damage, insurance claim to cover the renovations and sold.

Property Insurance? 

I noticed on Zillow that asbestos was listed as a building material, but I didn't pay attention to it until my insurance agent mentioned it.

We got all kinds of compliments, and rented the property out at top dollar with multiple offers (FYI).Now, I am ONLY speaking to the WHITE cabinets because of the finish type that HD uses for their white cabinets. 

I am told that it is more expensive for sellers to accept VA offers because of Termite inspections and repairs and many other costs.
