There's intricate relationship between appreciation and cash flow.

Admittedly I am very new to real estate investing and all it's intricate matters but I am extremely avid about learning everything I can via books, videos and sites such as bigger pockets!

But we are running into a problem with gift taxes.

To an outside party, it certainly looks like a taxable gift from you to him if you give him some of the profits from a sale of a property wherein you alone were on title.

Are you selling the property for 146k, or are you gifting it?

I always loved his response when people asked "should I give gifts to tenants" and he is like "no tenants are subservient scum and you are their master, never give them anything, they are losers who only take from you".

There are estate/gift tax ramifications as well as potential elections that need to be considered if the company is a partnership. 

Although I am sure they are happy for the extra business, I'd like to get my real estate broker, property manager and contractor a holiday gift as a token of my appreciation for the work we have done together this year.

My father-in-law had abt 5k saved up but it was just stuffed in a mattress (not literally) and I guess bc he didn't have an account that showed history banks wouldn't loan to him, so he gave my wife the money so she could "gift" it back to him and there be a record of it.

Can I transfer the vehicle title to the business and then have the business gift the vehicle in my personal name at my NY residence?
