If you plan on managing it yourself, you want to be close to monitor any improvements and get familiar and comfortable with the entire process.

I don't know if I'll continue with Zillow's process in the future.

I also have a list of lenders that I have worked with in the past that I recommend.In both cases, when I was approached by them to purchase a home, they had very little knowledge of the home buying process, they were definitely not ready.

I also don't know how much of a hassle or cost commitment that process would be either so any input at all would be valuable to me.

Live it in for a year and repeat the process, buy another duplex, hopefully with the same program if it still exists a year down the line.  

Hey Martyn, we are in the process of moving closer to Ten Killer and was curious if you have found any local meet ups for investors?

I think a lot of sellers with crummy houses don't want to mess around with the process of a renovation loan and would rather do an easy cash sale to another investor. 

I'm currently exploring options for speeding up the process of securing business funding and building corporate credit.
