My understanding is that student loan debt never goes away, cannot be discharged in a bankruptcy even if needed to be, so I'd take the opportunity to eliminate that debt and start fresh, in a much stronger position.   

Tell the Seller you want the property delivered vacant.

What they do have to do is deliver it to you in the same condition as it was when you viewed it. 

If you have a new enough car, you can deliver for Uber Eats or Grubhub or do rideshare.
