Another good concept I used in my real estate agent days was once a home went for sale, I would go door knocking around that area.

I think you're 100% correct to learn those concepts first, and then move on from there.

Our thinking back then was to make changes, block by block if all went well and if we could get enough people interested in the concept. 

Put aside your reliance on the laziness of habitual conceptions of the way parties and platforms USED to be, falsely claim to be, or how they try to portray each other, and simply put people up there who will do what's best for YOU, and for your source of income, which you must remember is your tenants. 

I was very excited when I discovered the DST concept and would be happy to discuss that with anyone who reaches out. 

Some agents can distill complicated concepts into digestible chunks.

I agree with the total return concept which is cash flow plus appreciation of the asset over its life time.

This is a concept I haven't been able to get a clear answer on from lenders so I turn to you for help.
