Any information having rental property long distance.

I’m active duty military and my wife and I are considering Kansas City as a potential location for long distance investing.

So question, should I just offer on it anyways or wait until stuff like this comes down into striking distance of what I need or sells before?

Long term goal would be to venture into long distance projects.

Purchase price: $625,000 Cash invested: $85,000Duplex in high-end neighborhood along the train line into NYC. 35 minute commute to Grand Central on the morning trains.1920 house.

I’d also imagine there are not too many good lots that would meet the zoning requirements of multi family and to have it rezoned would probably cause a huge fuss in those mostly residential neighborhoods.I think those neighborhoods will continue to do well as people seek areas with low crime, good school districts, and an easy commute.

David Greene of BP has a book on long distance real estate investing, so you might want to check that out, though I personally have not read it yet.

Jim-I've heard of long distance real estate investing but long distance handyman service is probably not a good idea!

And if so would properly connecting downspouts and piping the water a good distance from the house correct the issue?
