I'm hoping that I am showing them an alternative way of making money that may not be evident right now, but when they get older the seed might be planted.Why not refinance what you have instead of selling?

I looked for alternatives for money sources and getting a mortgage was the option I chose.

I invest in San Diego and therefore do not have an alternate area to recommend but will add that I am pro So Cal REI.  

Two of the buildings basically got the full exterior treatment and a total of 4 units got a high end rehab.

Needed improvements will be made to the Montebello Water Filtration Plants, and a new water treatment plant is being designed for Fullerton.Plans to cover the drinking water reservoirs at Lake Ashburton, Druid Lake are ongoing; work is now underway at Guilford.DPW is nearing completion of the BaltiMeter installations to ensure accurate and timely water meter reading.

There a cheaper alternatives out there that offer this flat-fee listings service.ongoing fees can get expensive if the property takes longer to sell.

They are cheaper alternatives and give a great look.

Ask them straight up if it fits into their schedule.If you are looking for an alternate route, im sure there is a licensed subcontractor (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical) in town who would be willing to GC the project for you.  

Don't give up on looking for alternatives. 

And if you have not stripped out the equity, this is a viable alternative for you.
