You have to start somewhere and while I agree the BEST education is doing it, you still need background and general info on the strategy of your choice, know how to speak the lingo, understand contracts, market analysis, etc.That said, there is no one way fits all but the point is, get some basics down (which it sounds like you have started already) and then go after a deal, either on your own or with another investor where you can get on the job training.
