There are lots of ways to learn more and get involved in the local real estate investor community in NOVA.

I think going for a multiple family property is a great way to build capital to reinvest.

I have done research and ran some numbers on multiple properties but have yet to find a realtor that has experience in investment properties or a property management company to go with.

@Ryland Taniguchi When you use the term partner are you referring to a person that you've done multiple deals with and continue to work with?  

After a tour in Fallujah with the Marines I needed a change of pace and moved to Austin to start a business which I was able to sell (there's an NDA involved, so I won't go into too much detail) for enough money to buy a house that was way too large for me.

I'm not sure where those banks have all their locations, but it has been quite the difficult task finding a bank to work with me on this one...Now to the property managing softwares that can allow me to have multiple bank accounts to receive ACHs without paying crazy amounts of fees and providing proof of registration with the state....ugh... good luck!
