We do a good bit when we renovate our units: We have an HVAC guy, we hire drywall finishers and we hire plumbers for "in the wall" stuff (we install toilets, faucets, garbage disposals do under sink repairs.

Not a huge deal in a roughed-in house, but could have been much more damaging.In retrospect, it was rather amusing watching the water fountain-out the toilet drain... again, in retrospect.

We could (and did) collect for damages though, and were able to recoup that way ("damaged" drip pans that needed replacement instead of cleaning, "Grout repair" instead of mopping, or cleaning grout, etc).
