Maybe I’m looking at it from my syndication lens (I have ~20 syndications in 5+ states) where sponsors have skin in the game and take a much smaller portion of the profits.Are you using real estate for diversifying your investments or do these rentals form the biggest chunk of your investment portfolio?

I don't really plan on actually BEING a real estate agent per se, I just went for the license for the access to MLS, the savings in commissions and the knowledge that taking the course brings.At any rate, I can either choose to select a sponsoring brokerage now and get my active license, or I can get an inactive license without a sponsoring brokerage.My question is, do any of you folks have any suggestions?

(Which to me is not desirable at all considering the age of the current cycle ).Occasionally you can find sponsors that will do 7 to 10 years and these are considered in that world to be long-term.
