Income plays a big role in getting a home, but it doesn't get you all the way there. 

There was a reason you rented to this person in the first place, try to stay in that "happy place" until this all blows over.And finally...NEVER, NEVER, EVER, NEVER rent to someone again WITHOUT a written rental agreement that clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of each party in the rental transaction.

@Sean Yuan It sounds like you're looking to do a joint venture partnership, with everyone having some capital invested and an active role in the investment.

If you get the eBay fever when you are bidding, you are bidding with your heart which should not play a role in your purchasing.

I’m guessing any CRE position brings unique skill sets to the table, but are there any roles you think are especially valuable?

Keep the roles / lines clear because if there is an issue later you don't want it clouded by your tenant paying for part of the floor or installing it.A good relationship with tenants is great, but too many times a small disagreement can ruin all the goodwill you try to build. 

I think I would be a great " property manager "  for whoever is in need ,  but not sure how to go about seeking these roles.

I will take a more active role after I retire.

Dodger Stadium — with its 16,000-space parking lot — has played many essential roles during the pandemic.

@Jason Shackleton I think you bring up a really good point - I probably need to slow my role and just let the investment do its work.
