I am now interested in a broader range of options, especially rental investing.

Keep the balance in your 401k and look for a fund option that mirrors the S&P 500 or a broader market index fund with low expenses.  

Just thought I would share something personal.While I've got the time and attention to determine where I want to take my real estate investing, my goal is to gather and share as much knowledge as I can.I look forward to meeting, helping, and learning from the broader BP community and especially those folks living, working, and investing the Triangle.

I set my parameters like this:  I like brick houses if possible (less maintenance), I don't shoot for the one General or Colonel at the top of the employee pyramid, but to the broader mid-rank tiers below.  

I have a great understanding of the Richmond market and our broader long term trends. 

I have a company based abroad that it working to bring stable, high yielding real estate deals to a broader market of investors.

I guess the broader question is - how do most folks handle inherited tenants... i spoke to one of them while our inspector was going through the units and she sounded like she's been living their happily for the last couple of years while her neighbor has been there for almost 10 years now.  

The language is broader in the policy and may respond to the claim, which I see as a overall devaluation of the building if 1 pillar is different than all the rest.You property policy will be more restrictive. 

Is that the same thing as a portfolio lender or a broader scope of lenders?

Social media does not require a lot of marketing dollars to get started, and with a little testing it can be a cost-effective way to reach a broader audience.
