To claim ownership to satisfy the curiosity of somebody else would be misleading at best and dishonest at worst.

But don't rent to anyone who has been caught stealing or doing something dishonest.

Maybe the release is healthy and prevents an internal malignant build up.Whichever way people choose to deal with dishonest individuals I think it is a reality that is this business you will run across them on a regular business.

Don't do this in a dishonest way but you also don't really need to tell them all that you're working with other agents (they should assume this).
