PS I've found leaving a bouquet of flowers on the bed ($6 at trader Joe's ) is one of the most mentioned highlights of my reviews.The obvious downside has everyone points out, is that you're only one vote away, whether that be HOA or city council, from being obsolete.

IE  ( We are Oregon everyone wants to live here LOL)  The Grant County Economic Council http://www.grantedc.com has been great in traveling and getting the word out that the county is open for business. 

Note in Kansas City, that the city council is working to change that:  some of the proposals are 60 to 90 days and in another state, the landlord has to pay the tenants moving expenses.

@Abby Vohra there are many Facebook groups for expat relocating to Portugal that offer help in immigration, real estate and tax.Many of the ones I am a member of are British or American, but the American relocation rules are the same for you.I run one of these groups for social events in the Coimbra region.

The CoSpgs City Council never got back to me about what the military exemption actually means for military, so I'm assuming I won't be able to continue to STR.

I would call one of your city council people and discuss.

I went to the city council meeting and saw the presentation and overall feel this is going to be great for our city but was wondering if some more experienced investors have any thoughts on how this might positively or negatively effect the housing & rental markets in Ypsilanti.

both in selling prices and the way the city council has been acting .  

I like to collect information in these situations but not give it out. also do not call or contact the owner of property with out permission from your legal council on the matter!
