You could ask a local Marshall if they would be willing to come by when Real Estate person is to show you property and he could handle any squatters or maybe start by honking horn a few times in case a squatter is in and perhaps they will be headed out back.

So just as I was pre approved and have some savings to invest I will probably be heading back West, I am just trying to think of ways I can invest on the East coast while living on the west coast for maybe the next few years.
