Verify I'm using the correct lease paperwork to rent out the unit.

To get lender's title insurance and close the $600k cash out refi (this ALSO would have been required to SELL the property, but as a loan originator I do not work with sellers -- only buyers, and owners who are refinancing), the borrower had to chase down every single person on that QC and get them to sign additional paperwork.

I like to use good paperwork to secure my position with a JV partner who may be funding deals.

@Andy GarciaNot sure if your asking about paperwork or where to find borrowers.The paperwork is a mortgage or deed of trust (depends on your state), a promissory note that outlines the parameters of the loan; interest rate, how its paid back, ie monthly or other agreement.

When I got to the door I read the paperwork and saw the usual fines/notices the county puts on most vacant property.The neighborhood is great.

Mortgage advice from that source be like:Hopefully OP you are not delaying the process unnecessarily by refusing to sign paperwork until your loan officer is fluent in the incorrect definitions of words as used by BP, because you will likely be significantly delaying the process if you do, unless your LO is on BP (nothing wrong with that if she or he is :P ).EDIT: OK, reading the above comments from other mortgage folks, I guess the realtors aren't to blame, now I know where they are getting their bad info from.
