If you are independently metering and have the ability to bill for the energy you create it may be worth it, but other than that it does not increase the value of a property much just by being present. 

Unless you're independently wealthy, or know a trade of some sort, you need seed income to start in this business.

Considering the fact that finding a reputable independent wholesaler is a tall order was curious if people have ever found a good deal using an agent through these wholesale companies?

General clerical/office work i am not totally sure as I am an independent broker, but i am sure some residential teams have non-licensed work to be done.
