I prefer window units over central ac units because of the cost( you can purchase a 17000 btu unit heating and cooling for $1000) and less issues on repairs.

The 2 unit is hot water heat, I pay that bill. 

My wife has been financially responsible for it the entire time, and the mother considers it and the equity the property of my wife.There's about 30K left on the loan and the property is valued somewhere between $120-150K (it's near Miami, we live in Connecticut, for what it's worth), and it's being rented. 

The building is heated and has a loading dock as well as large roll up doors that almost any vehicle can fit in.Any ideas are appreciated.

What city do think is going to be heating up and what ones do you think are cold?

I'm specifically looking for websites that allow the user to search to display crime heat maps, the percentage of renters vs. owners, top schools within a neighborhood, and other helpful information.

If they had a car repair , a big heating bill in the mail ,or they hosted a drinking party with friends you can bet they will be short on The first .

It doesn't cost more to heat a house if there are one vs two people in it, same with internet or cable. 

You haven't mentioned if you are planning to heat and cool the space.

I feel, the game is not over in those areas until the big time developers from NYC, San Francisco and Miami start to settle there.
