My plan is to keep leveraging my VA benefits to keep buying small multifamily homes and keep repeating the process and join syndications to invest in large multifamily projects to help my wife and I get financially independent.

It's probably preliminary to join a mentorship program at this point, until you get the lay of the land and decide specifically on your course of action.
