This is a new federal law that you can get your report from each agency once per year at no cost to you.The process should take about an hour or so as you have to keep re-entering the same data for each agency.If you are married do separate reports, not joint.

As far as getting into multiple REO's, the new law here has made it a little harder to deal directly with homeowners in foreclosure so I am looking for an alternative while they are ironing out the kinks.

If you mean aproaching sellers in foreclousre before the auction, this is perhaps best unless you live in a state like Maryland that has laws to protect homeowners in foreclosure.

I'm pretty sure there is a law that prohibits taking advantage of homeowners by disallowing "flipping" of properties that are in preforeclosure.
