I plan on having a family member go check out the property, I expect my PM to send me videos, and pictures of the good the bad and the ugly.

After you have read several books/blogs/forums and watched several videos on the topic, you'll be able to answer the majority of your own questions.

Get your check list ready well in advance; if you have a buyers agent they can be very heplful, I would not operate without one.When the time comes, walk the units with the inspector; take pics, videos and notes; it is a great opportunity to ask the tenants a few casual questions.

My husband's a video editor/colorist/DP/swiss army knife, so he's hoping to break into the film industry.

I saw that he has some videos uploaded to YouTube (it looks like he's doing a VNBFD seminar right now so I can't imagine those videos will stay up for too long) but other than that it doesn't look like any of the material on his website is free.
