Governor Wolf just extended Pennsylvania's eviction moratorium to August 31 preventing evictions of those that have lost income due to covid.

You can avoid tax returns, bank statements, and standard lending practices that can hurt, delay, or ultimately prevent you from purchasing the investment property that is already cash flowing. 

I think that would increase hassle/costs to prevent it from becoming an eyesore.

That will prevent something like this from happening most of the time because those with something to lose will step up.

From Danny- I personally believe the government will intervene in some way to either prevent this or mitigate it somehow. 

Seriously,  as 2008 demonstrated after the fall of Lehman, the government is going to act as the consumer of last resort to prevent a deflationary spiral even if the economy shows massive unemployment.
