While I agree that in your work scenario you need to keep your investment life a bit more quiet, I personally feel that not talking about what you do with family, friends, and others you come in contact with limits your ability to let others know what you do which is networking.

This is probably what the bank would want to see as well, even if the ownership structure strips you of any decision making ability or control you could have it so that you're first money out after the bank.
