As everyone knows, if we can create value added products (for ex: laundry, vending machines, etc are the basic ones) that saves the tenant money and also generates additional income for us, that revenue stream can be huge when we multiply it by the number of tenants..plus it gives us an advantage over our competition.

@Danny SternJust a thought while you think about renting in class D.Police stations in neighborhoods like that don't really mean that the area is safe.I own some rentals in low income areas, and the policemen their make something like $9 - $11 an hour, and they have to pay for all their own equipment, (kevlar, etc.), poor benefits and a bad retirement package.

He says that his son acquired his useful hearing aid (after another didn't work...and he claims the doctor says he hasn't the physical equipment to hear anything at all in the first place) by some magical manifestation of his son's DESIRE to do so, and not any mention at all that maybe others were familiar with his problem and a network of connections makes solutions much more available.He either makes up other stories or passes them along uncritically. 1937 was a different time so I'm not going to hit him with the racist card, but the "Chinaman" story?

Appliances don't really seem to hold their value very long around here, and since most of the washers and dryers in my area are in the garage or a dingy basement, it's not like you need some high end piece of equipment to fit into the decor.
