@Stephen StokesYes, where there's a will, there's a way and the way to come in under the seasoning requirement is to use private lenders or non-agency money that will undoubtedly be more expensive in both the short run and long run.

I know I can ask the 1031 exchange experts directly here through private messaging but I think this can be a helpful conversation for some other members in the forum.I have a business partner that we own a commercial real estate together 50/50 in Silicon Valley.And both of us have our own residential rentals.One of our conversation was to 1031 exchange our office condo to a multi-family 5+ property.

Check your local Tenant Landlord Laws but I would suspect that if the home is separate from your private residence that more than likely you would have to follow Fair Housing Laws.
