In terms of getting your license, (especially if you are still on active duty and can't join a brokerage and get their training), I recommend Allied Schools.  

I love reading the plans of other investors when they are well thought out and the best thing you have done is train a good, small management company to react to your needs over in Ohio.

I read that on the job training is difficult to find and I assume they would like to see some background in the subject to be considered.
