The "option" would be worthless to an investor, because every short-sale I've seen requires a disclosure statement from all parties involved that the seller gets $0 at close, and there's no other side-deals going on.

Sheena I get you are in Singapore but you can at least pay a non-biased third party for a full report to see what you are getting.A couple hundred from a local broker who specializes in these properties would be WELL WORTH not making a 101,000 mistake.

100 years old, I really check the foundation closely, it's been there this long without issues, it may stand another 100, but check closely along with all other issues. $230, 000 would be my start cash wise, some harder nose types here may say less.
