All remodeled with luxury finish on permanent foundations.I have been turned down 15 times and counting with the area banks. 

We own a condo at the shore that is more on the luxury side and we get a really good weekly rental price on AirBnb/VRBO. 

my issue is with the lodging tax.

Those who have violated the law by not pulling permits or paying lodging taxes are being retroactively charged.  

Say it's $1800 for a decent, mid-range non-luxury 1bedroom apartment in your city. 

I am an owner and a property manager for cabins/lodges/lake houses in the Branson area/Lake Tablerock. 

Judging by past performance of my other units, I was confident that a luxury finished lakeview home in this area would outperform comparable 4/4s in the greater Branson area.

Entry price point is anywhere from $100,000-$150,000 for a 1 bed or studio condo and the sky is the limit for larger 10 bedroom lake view lodges (currently on the market for around $1.6+ million).

I don't know what their intentions are with the property, but I've been shown a few drawings my friend had and they were of a luxury condo tower.
