Which also means they would not become landlord en masse like folks that was born in 1950-70.Since our financial regulation indirectly has financial bias to support working marrying couple (ratio of income to rent is now 1:4.5 in many cities) before they even able to apply mortgage then the number of mortgage application would be less.

It is hard not to keep thinking about it years or decades later but we should not fall into availability bias and think of examples that are readily available.
