Currently I work at Trader Joes, a job I love but need to think about retirement and building a portfolio.I attend local RE meetups when I can to meet other local investors but am looking forward to meeting other BP members!

I tell people I'm a "day trader" who buys real estate instead of stocks.  

I only provide Coffee, fresh croisants, 1/2 1/2, and some trader joe's sweets.

I did lend money in Canada as a HML and that worked out.. as not only did I make my return I made a very nice delta on the exchange rate arbitrage IE when I made the loans the Loonie was quite low when I got paid off the loonie had jumped 10%.. but I am not an expert or a currency trader .. just a little one man HML er.. picking nice little loans in the Okanogan. but what I did not realize also in Canada the default process is not where as friendly as the US.. ergo being the bank in Canada you take on some risk that is not present as a US lender on US assets.

We get excited when a new business opens and we are still hoping that one day they'll put in that elusive Trader Joe's in nearby Auburn :-)The service sector is a large employer.

Trader Joes, Sprouts, Whole Foods tend to be in the better neighborhoods.

(In general) it is just as hard work to "make a killing" in real estate as stocks, as commodities as a bond trader as... 

Learning to become a profitable day trader is the best remote work one can have.

I was wondering because of the "trader status" if you sell too much real estate if it's better to put the word Apartments or Rentals in the name instead of a generic nameLike Outback Apartments LLC instead of Just Outback LLC so it shows that your 'intent was to hold it long term'.

You're not a rates trader.
