Agree with @Kim Morrissey explain to them that you agreed to paint the two rooms and that's it, and then just go right into proceeding setting up the time to paint them. my rentals come painted, one color on the walls and that's it, i wouldn't go into painting different rooms different colors. and to save your self some trouble down the road, every property you buy, use the same color, you won't have to try and figure out or lookup and see what color you used if you have to fix and repaint something.

We had to repaint both houses because the “handymen” weren’t painters.I hired these guys, mostly out of frustration, because I couldn’t get someone to start in a timely manner.

I watched enough of Judge Judy to learn that when a tenant vacates, and if they been there for a little while, it's the landlord's responsibility to repaint due to wear and tear.

Based on all this I decided I would be better off terminating this lease, doing some repainting/light work to the apartment and trying to get a new tenant that I can screen in the apartment.

I'm okay with repainting but they dug into the walls with pencils and markers ugggg.5. huge 18" long, 1" deep dent in wall moving out. 3 heavy coats of joint compound.6.

But our friend the Electrician is not likely to reseal the plaster and make the repair invisible nor is he likely to repaint the the wall, and he may not even clean up the debris from the plaster being opened up.
