I've been trying for years to get a local abandoned boarding house with a view to rezone it and convert it to a fourplex, but with yesterdays consular update it's time to throw in the towel for that in favour of this new adventure.The BP RE Podcast was pretty much the only thing keeping me occupied and motivated as a miner dreaming of real estate for the better part of a decade, and for essentially solely my gratitude i'd like to finally post a public thanks to Josh (wherever he is), David, and Brandon for keeping my machinery blaring with the original and spinoff podcasts free of charge all these years.Not terribly sure how long these posts are supposed to be but i'm grinning to be making it.

FYI If a mineral lease has been severed from the property, it too has a 2 year redemption even if the rest is 180 days in Texas.

The redemption period is 180 days unless it is a homestead, has an agricultural exemption or is a severed mineral lease-then it is 2 years.The sheriff deed or constable deed is permanent and you have all the rights to the property when you purchase it at the tax auction, except the right of redemption.

Just to reply to the inquiry about Texas, the redemption period is 180 days unless it has a homestead exemption, or a agricultural exemption or is a severed mineral lease-then the redemption period is 2 years.
