I've heart Curt Davis on this site talk about the trainer Alan Cowgill as having good material, though I have no personal experience with him.Sorry, didn't mean to post this yet, will finish thought later, but you don't want to lecture the type 2 investor on stock market returns, for example, or you risk sounding like a novice.

I agree adequate training is a MAJOR issue...while at a local branch (not ours) settling a parents' estate/RE property issue the 'kid' (who graduated political science 6 months ago, but was fully trained by the Bank), began to lecture me on refinancing some of the free & clear properties we held.

Understanding taxes, since you mentioned compounding interest - that means you can't have "tax leakage" in anything you do, nothing, its a way of life, do it now so you don't get spoiled...Google "John Malone" and go to the Video of him giving a lecture at Stanford.
