What I'm looking to do since I am a bit shy to finding an organic mentor is to kinda do what was suggested in Rich Dad Poor Dad when Rich dad said for Robert to play golf because eventually Robert would end up doing it some day and the best time to begin building his skills was when he was young. 

There is actually one tomorrow at Bellevue college if you can swing it on such short notice.   

I'm currently thinking about wholesaling to get into the swing of things, analyzing deals, and hopefully build some capital for a first time home purchase, flip, or rental.

I think you can still catch the swing up in some markets but act fast.

In real estate you may not have that many 'at bat' attempts to swing, so one unlucky strike out should not end your investing career early.

Or swing through Moab on the way.Make sure to do the drive between Silverton/Ouray and Durango.

@Lee Bell @Michael Kistner I currently make a few hundred a month swing trading stocks.

No one seemed turned off by a $210k price swing in less than a year.Had one I paid $91.5k for and listed for $250k after 3 months and again sold it in a couple days for full list.

But I wouldn't think it to be a smart move on my part as a beginner to play around with swings in the market and bank on them.

I get that too I love to fly fish .. but I could not do it every day.. just like I could not play golf every day
